Terms of Service

Last updated: February 14, 2026

1. Service Description

CronGuard AI is a cron job and scheduled task monitoring platform. It detects missed or failed jobs, classifies severity using adaptive thresholds, generates AI-powered root cause diagnoses, and sends alerts via email or Slack. The service is provided on an “as is” basis.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and a password of at least 8 characters to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Plans and Pricing

CronGuard offers the following plans:

  • Free: $0/month — 5 monitors, 7-day history, email alerts.
  • Starter: $19/month — 20 monitors, 30-day history, email + Slack alerts.
  • Pro: $49/month — 100 monitors, 90-day history, all alert channels.

Prices are in USD and may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Changes do not apply to the current billing period.

4. Billing and Payment

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for the remaining days in a billing period.

5. Refund Policy

If you are unsatisfied with the service, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first paid subscription. After 14 days, no refunds are issued. To request a refund, contact support@cronguard.ai.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the system without authorization.
  • Send abusive, excessive, or automated requests designed to degrade service performance.
  • Resell or redistribute the service without written permission.
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code through ping payloads.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage. CronGuard is a monitoring tool — it detects failures in your scheduled tasks but does not guarantee detection of all failures. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.

8. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you submit to CronGuard (monitor configurations, ping data, metadata). We own the platform, software, AI models, and aggregated anonymized insights derived from usage patterns. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CronGuard AI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. You may delete your account through the settings page or by contacting support. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our data retention policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State in which the operating entity is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
